The Truman State University Strategic Plan is the result of detailed visioning and planning sessions and included input from all the various constituents including Faculty, Staff and Students. The resulting document outlines the ideals and visions for a 3-5 year period and is designed to provide a roadmap for Truman State University's quest to become the nation's leading public liberal arts university.

Version 8.1 of the University Master Plan was approved by the Board of Governors on October 11, 2002.
The Plan was updated in 2002 to reflect the results of the first 5 years of the plan and to redirect the efforts of the University.
